At Dan Ponciano’s Guide Service, whether we’re fishing on the Columbia River or the Sacramento River, we’ll always have the best gear. You’ll be fishing from our custom-made 24-foot North River Scout. This sled boat is loaded with the latest gear and electronics, and is designed for safety and precision handling on rivers throughout the Pacific Northwest, down into California.
No matter if we’re fishing for salmon or steelhead, striped bass or sturgeon, I supply top of the line fishing rods from G. Loomis, and Shimano fishing reels. On some days when fishing the Columbia River, we may target both spring chinook and sturgeon. When we’re fishing the Sacramento River, we may go after both stripers and sturgeon on the same day. No matter where we go, how we fish, or how many species of fish we pursue in a day, you’ll always have plenty of room in our boat to comfortably and safely move around. We have storage beneath the seat to keep cameras and other valued gear, dry and away from the elements.
